THE TEAM

Our team consists of four members: a precision driver, crane operator, camera operator, and focus puller. Together, we have extensive experience filming moving objects and possess the technical expertise required to handle any challenges that may arise during production.

If the production prefers to use their own camera or focus operators, that’s absolutely fine as well.

INTERCOM

Communication is absolutely essential for achieving the best results. The vehicle is equipped with 8 intercom headsets with full duplex functionality.

INS 2 STABILIZATION

The advanced INS 2 stabilization allows RADICAL to maintain the lift axis angle with accuracy comparable to systems that cost 10-20 times more. This is especially important in off-road filming, where the lens needs to "float" over uneven terrain along with the subject.

BATTERY POWER

The vehicle is equipped with a battery system that keeps all systems operational even when the engine is turned off.

IP65 WEATHER PROOF

The camera arm is, of course, IP65 weather-sealed, and we have solutions for the gimbal and camera to ensure we can operate in any weather conditions.

The Volkswagen Touareg R is the perfect vehicle for film production, thanks to its combination of power, agility, and durability. With its 500 horsepower, it has the strength to handle heavy film rigs and advanced camera setups while delivering stable and dynamic driving characteristics for smooth, fluid shots.

One of the major advantages of the Touareg R for film work is its plug-in hybrid technology, which allows it to travel up to 50 kilometers on electric power alone. This is especially useful for shoots in sensitive environments where minimizing engine noise and emissions is crucial, such as urban settings, indoors, or during nature scenes.

The Touareg R also features an all-wheel drive system and air suspension, making it suitable for all types of terrain, from asphalt to gravel roads and uneven ground. Equipped with a 32″ TV that wirelessly receives video signals directly from the camera car, it allows you to easily monitor the recording in real-time. But it’s not just the technology that impresses—the Crafter also offers top-notch comfort with a fully equipped interior that includes a bed, kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator, and air conditioning.
